God is working in you AND in your neighbors!  To know THEIR names and needs WE must also be visible and known.  Here are some suggested walk activities, listed in order of increasing contact.  Let's ask God to help us take one step PAST our current comfort level:

1)  Notice who lives where and what is going on around their home.
2)  Pray for the families that you walk past, for their hearts to be open to the grace and truth of Jesus Christ.
3)  Smile.
4)  Wave.
5)  Say "hi".
6)  Introduce yourself and ask their names.
7)  Stop and talk for a few minutes.
8)  Sit on their porch or stand under their tree and talk for many minutes.
9)  Ask for their phone numbers or email contact information in case needs arise.
10)  Invite them to sit on YOUR porch or stand under YOUR tree for more conversations.
May God bless our OUTreach of the Gospel in our neighborhoods for His glory and for our neighbors' eternal life!  Amen.

Honestly, at this age of time, many people are too indulged in technology, social media and keeping an online presence that they fail to understand that real life communication is way better than the online one. I especially try to spend some time away from social media during my weekends and spend some time with my loved ones or traveling. Otherwise social media can actually contribute to increased stress level than normal.
