Make Time for the "Least of These"

Who will choose to go into these places often sad, smelly, and strange? I will...

Have you wished that you could have stood by Jesus' side in the Garden when the Roman guards came to arrest Him, or helped him stand when the soldiers whipped Him, or wipe His brow when He carried the cross?

Today you CAN do these things for Him by doing it for His "aging agents". This current season of life as they prepare to die is one of the most difficult… with pain, frustration, loneliness, confusion, fear, and doubt.

We have such an opportunity to bring the Gospel to them with comforting touches, bright smiles, and words of hope. Some of them are not-yet saved, and God is calling them to receive Him in their final earth days.

I will choose to find a nursing care facility near me, to bear the unpleasantries, and to ask permission to visit those receiving the least visitors. A triple blessing will occur as they, I, and the Holy Spirit fellowship together even if only with a hug, a handshake, or a softly spoken prayer.

Lord, may I make time for them. Before I know it... THEY will be ME.

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'" Matthew 25:40
